Ordering & Availability
-
I recommend booking as early as possible — many couples secure their date 12–18 months in advance. Popular weekends fill quickly, so the sooner you enquire, the more likely I can accommodate your date.
-
Where my diary allows, yes. For celebration cakes I ask for at least 2–3 weeks’ notice, but for weddings I may need longer to ensure your cake receives the full attention it deserves.
-
A £100 save-the-date booking fee secures your wedding date in my diary. This allows you to reserve your date while giving you plenty of time to finalise the finer details, including your design, flavours and serving requirements. Nothing needs to be set in stone straight away, and we'll work together to refine everything as your wedding day approaches.
-
Yes, I create bespoke celebration cakes for birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions. Each cake is designed with the same level of care and craftsmanship as my wedding cakes.
Tastings & Design
-
Absolutely — my luxury cake sample boxes are a wonderful way to experience my signature flavours before you decide. They’re freshly baked and beautifully packaged, available on selected dates throughout the year.
-
Yes, I love bringing your vision to life. Inspiration photos are welcome, and I’ll use them as a guide while creating something unique to you.
-
For wedding cakes, I provide digital sketches so you can visualise how your design will look before the big day.
-
Of course — I often create miniature versions of wedding cakes for anniversaries or intimate celebrations.

Many of my couples invest between £750 and £1,500+, particularly for statement designs, handcrafted sugar florals and intricate detailing.

Every CK Bakes creation is individually designed and handcrafted using carefully selected, high-quality ingredients. Your quotation reflects not only the cake itself, but also the time, skill and attention to detail that go into creating a centrepiece that's as beautiful as it is delicious. Additional design elements and delivery, where required, will be included in your personalised quotation.

Flavours & Dietary Requirements
-
I specialise in flavour! From my signature Passionfruit & Champagne and Lavender & Elderflower, to indulgent Chocolate Dulce de Leche, there’s something for every palate.
-
I can offer some dietary options — please discuss your requirements with me at the enquiry stage. While I take great care, all cakes are baked in a kitchen where allergens are present, so I cannot guarantee they are 100% free from traces.
-
Yes — many couples choose a different flavour for each tier to please a variety of guests.

I always carry a full emergency cake kit, and I have a trusted network of cake makers as back-up if the unthinkable ever happened. Your peace of mind is my priority.
Logistics & Aftercare
-
Celebration cakes should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. If your cake contains fresh fruit, fresh flowers or other perishable ingredients, I'll provide specific storage instructions when you collect it. Wedding cakes delivered and set up by CK Bakes require no additional preparation.
-
All cakes are baked as close to your collection or delivery date as possible to ensure maximum freshness. Once cut, cakes are best enjoyed within 2–3 days and should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature. Fruit cakes will keep for much longer when stored correctly.
-

In many cases, yes. Sugar flowers, acrylic toppers and some decorative elements can often be removed and kept after your celebration. If your cake includes fresh flowers or other non-edible decorations, I'll let you know which elements can be safely removed and retained.
