At the same time, every cake is deeply personal. I pour my heart into each design, guided by perfectionism and a genuine love for celebrating life’s most precious moments. From sketch to set-up, my goal is to give you more than a wedding cake — it’s an edible expression of your love story, crafted with care and finished with flair.
My Story
My love for baking began in my nan’s kitchen, where the smell of homemade cakes filled the air and the joy of sharing them brought everyone together. A couple of my recipes are still based on hers, a treasured link to the warmth and love that first inspired me to bake.
What began as a family passion has grown into CK Bakes — a business built on creativity, perfectionism and a deep belief that cakes should be more than beautiful. They should tell a story, evoke emotion, and taste every bit as exquisite as they look.
Balancing family life with running my business, I pour my heart into every creation — from sketching designs late at night to carefully styling cakes at venues on wedding mornings. With the support of my husband and children, each cake feels like a piece of our family given to yours.
Today, CK Bakes is both my profession and my passion: a way to honour my nan’s legacy, to celebrate life’s most precious occasions, and to create wedding cakes that truly leave a lasting impression.
My Credentials
My journey into baking started early — I studied Food Technology at GCSE, where I first discovered the science and creativity behind ingredients and flavour. Later, I went on to achieve an A-level in Business, giving me the foundations to turn my passion into a professional brand.
While I’ve always been self-taught at heart — learning from my nan’s recipes and years of passionate baking — I’ve also invested in professional training to perfect my craft. I hold full food safety and hygiene certification, carry public liability insurance, and follow strict allergen and ingredient protocols so every couple feels completely at ease.
Alongside this, I continue to refine my skills through advanced cake design courses, flavour development workshops, and collaborations with leading wedding suppliers. It means you can be confident that your cake isn’t just made with love, but also with the highest level of professionalism and care.
